The Most Distinguished Tau Omega Mu Fraternity (TOM) was founded in the University of the Philippines College of Manila (UPCM) in 1972. Immediately after its creation, the Ladies’ Corps was formed, which was succeeded eventually by the present-day Ladies’ Circle.
TOM maintains chapters in universities and colleges all over the Philippines. The fraternity celebrated its 50th anniversary with a year-long Calendar of Events dubbed as “Omegan Year 2022”, culminating in a grand celebration at the Manila Hotel in October 2022.
There are an estimated 5,000-10,000 alumni members to be found all over the globe, pursuing a diversity of professions and careers. The official alumni association, Tau Omega Mu (MCMLXXII) Inc. has recently been registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a non-stock non-profit organization.
TOM continues to reach out to all its alumni members, return them to the fold, strengthen its capabilities and become a relevant international service organization within the next 30 years (2022-2052). TOM 1972 Inc. has approved TOMSERVES as its main strategy towards achieving these objectives.
