The Lifetime Active Membership Program (LAMP) was conceptualized, approved and launched in 2019 to provide a viable mechanism to raise funds through the collection of membership dues. Its unique selling proposition – instead of paying the traditional annual dues, which has become increasingly difficult to sustain and implement, an Omegan may opt to pay a “one-time big-time” fee to settle ALL past, present and future financial obligations to Tau Omega Mu (MCMLXXII), Inc. Once settled, the Omegan becomes an active member for life.
The robust existence of our alumni organization depends primarily on the timely contribution and participation of all its members. If TOM is be successful, it has to re-kindle membership interest and improve its financial standing. These vital components are necessary for the organization to achieving the next steps – to be of service to its members and community, and in so doing, promote the good name of TOM.
LAMP has been recognized as the innovative strategy that will re-engage the membership and spur financial growth. Since the introduction of the program, some 158 Omegans have already registered as Lifetime Active Members of TOM 1972 Inc. The program has since become a crucial and indispensable part of the success of TOM 1972 Inc.
Every Omegan is encouraged to register as a Lifetime Active Member of Tau Omega Mu (MCMLXXII), Inc. with the voluntary payment of a “one-time big-time” membership fee of PhP10,000.00 (or its equivalent amount in foreign currency for overseas Omegans). In one fell swoop, the payment of the one-time fee covers ALL past, present and future dues to Tau Omega Mu (MCMLXXII), Inc.
The settlement of membership dues with TOM 1972 Inc. is a basic responsibility of every Omegan. It not only reaffirms an Omegan’s dedication and commitment to TOM, but also provides resources for the implementation of the Corporation’s ambitious plans and programs. It entitles the fully-paid Omegan to benefits, such as the right to vote and be elected into office, among others.
Fully-paid Omegans become stakeholders of any and all business corporations to be registered by TOM 1972 Inc. with the Securities and Exchange Commission. They will have voting rights in these corporations, and are eligible to run for positions therein .
Under the Amended Bylaws of 2024, membership fees paid by all Omegans shall be considered as an endowment to the alumni organization, and shall form part of its Principal Corpus. A major portion of this fund shall be shared with duly-recognized districts of the Corporation, to utilize in their respective plans and programs. The balance shall be retained by the organization and managed so to grow over time.
